When we set the flat $20 fee, people told us it was too low to be serious. Two years and 1,800 students later, the maths has answered for itself. Young people who could never assemble hundreds of dollars for a "computer package" now enroll the same week they decide to learn.
Flat pricing changes behaviour in a second way: it removes fear. Students do not agonise over which expensive course to gamble on. They start with basics, discover they love design or databases, and simply continue — because each next step costs the same honest $20.
The result is a pipeline this country needs: office assistants who become data analysts, shopkeepers who build their own websites, technicians fixing machines in every neighbourhood. That is what "innovation hub" means to us — not a slogan, a staircase.
